Top Skis for Women – Product Reviews of Skis Made for Women
November 27th, 2011 | Product Reviews, Skiing, Skis, Snow
Today's women's skis can pack a truly powerful punch. They have been designed, developed and built in order to allow a woman skier to tackle everything from groomers to moguls and beyond. If you are looking for the top skis for women for the 2008 and 2009 ski season, look no further than the reviews below.
Women's Nordica Skis -
Nordica is known for putting out a really outstanding line up when it comes to women's skis. The only changes to this year's skis are their graphics, but you can rest assured that these skis absolutely do not disappoint. The graphics on the Olympia line are especially pleasing this year.
Women's Salomon Skis -
If you are working on improving your skiing and you prefer groomers above all else, then the Salomon's Topaz line is probably going to be a good choice for you. This ski won't race you down the mountain, but it is a fairly forgiving carver nonetheless. If you are a more advanced skier, you may consider the Opal by Salomon, which is an excellent performer, light and nimble with a smooth and stable ride and tons of fun.
Women's Volkl Skis -
The Women's line of Volkl skis is the kind of line that you put on, and you find yourself in love immediately. The Volkl Aurora is especially popular as the kind of ski you can simply fall head over heels for. Another excellent ski in this line is the Fuego, which was introduced last year and is excellent if speed is your primary concern on the slopes this year.
Women's Atomic Skis -
The graphics aren't that great on the Women's line of Atomic Skis, but the performance is a completely different story. If you are looking for a high performance ski this season and do not mind uninspiring graphics, this may be the line of skis that you have been looking for, for the 2008 and 2009 ski season.
Women's Hart Skis -
The Hart Company is an old-line ski company that is working to come back. The skis that they are bringing out for this year's ski season are definitely quite impressive. They have taken the time to perform the necessary research, soliciting input from women skiers and holding focus groups to make sure that they are releasing the right kinds of skis. All of this input was incorporated into their recent designs. The Desire and the Beat are two excellent selections when it comes to women's skis for the upcoming season. The Desire is an excellent carver in packed and groomed snow, offering an excellent edge grip, stability and flex. The Beat is intended for skiers with more advanced knowledge of the slopes, and offers terrific handling both on the front side of the mountain and the back as well. Both skis are snappy and energetic and provide the turning ability you need without any instability.
