3 - Killington in Vermont

5 - Lake Tahoe in Nevada and California

Located on the border of Nevada and California, the Heavenly Mountain Resort can be found nestled in the Lake Tahoe area, featuring 4,800 acres and 95 different slopes. The total elevation here is 10,067 and this resort makes ample use of the highest peak in Lake Tahoe as the largest of all ski resorts in California.
