After you attempt to skate or slide down the bunny hills, you are now going to need to learn how you can move back up the slope. You can attempt it simply by inching your way along the height of the slope while both of your feet are attached to your snowboard. In this section, you are going to learn how you can climb back up the slope while both of your feet are strapped in.
Step #1 - You are going to want to get things started by choosing a slope that has as little traffic as possible. Face the top of the slope and assume a position similar to a frog with both of your feet strapped into your board. Your toe edge should be on the snow, your knees should be bent and your hands should be planted on the ground.
Step #2 - Now you should begin to inch worm, using your arms to move you forward. Arms should move forward first, and then legs should be extended. Your snowboard should be on the heel edge. The position is not easy to make, it will take practice, just make sure that you are using your arms as well as the heel edge to get support.
Step #3 - Now this step is going to require somewhat of an effort on your part. Without allowing your arms to move, you are going to want to pull your legs close just like a frog's legs when it hops. This process will be made simpler if you elevate your snowboard and then allow your knees to move you forward. This is the movement that is going to vault you forward, allowing you to essentially inch your way up the slope.
Step #4 - Now you are going to want to repeat each of these three steps until you have managed to inch your way all the way up the slope. If you become proficient at performing this move, then moving up the slope while your snowboard is still attached to your feet is going to become infinitely easier, so that you do not have to take off your snowboard and trudge back up the hill.
Moving up a slope in this manner is a tedious maneuver, but over short distances it can prove useful. If you do not have a lot of distance to cover, and you want to climb quickly without unfastening your feet from your snowboard bindings, then this is definitely an option that is worthwhile for you to consider. Why should you have to take your snowboard off your feet just to climb up a short slope, anyway? The more that you practice this particular maneuver, the more easily you will be able climb short slopes quickly and effectively without having to release your feet from the snowboard.
