180 - While in the air a rider makes a 180 degree turn and will land fakie, except for riding in a half pipe where a 180 will bring the nose around to face forward again.
360 - While in the air the ride makes a 360 degree turn, which makes a full circle so the rider is still facing forward when landing, on a half pipe, the rider lands fakie.
270 on/of - Rider makes a 270 degree or three quarters spin either on to or off of a rail.
540 - While in the air the rider makes a 540 degree turn, or one and a half full spins, and will land fakie, on the half pipe, the rider will remain facing forward.
720 - While in the air the rider makes a 720 degree turn, or two full spins, and will land facing forward, on the half pipe, the rider will land fakie.
900 - While in the air the rider makes a 900 degree turn, or two and a half full spins, and will land fakie, on the half pipe, the rider will remain facing forward.
1080 - While in the air the rider makes a 1080 degree turn, or three full spins, and will land facing forward, on the half pipe, the rider will land fakie.
1260 - While in the air the rider makes a 1260 degree turn, or three and a half full spins, and will land fakie, on a half pipe, the rider will remain facing forward.
360 degree cap construction - This is a method of constructing the cap so that it wraps around the whole board, covering the tail and tip as well as the sides of the board.
50/50 - Grinding on both the front and the back trucks is known as 50/50.
Alley-Oop - Any half pipe move that has the rider rotate at least a 180 degrees towards the uphill direction. Making a backside turn off the front side wall or a front side turn off the backside wall is also known as an alley-oop.
Alpine - Every competitive event that involves going downhill. Examples include slalom, downhill, and giant slalom.
Andrecht - A hand plant made with the rear hand with the added element of a grab made with the front hand.
Backcountry - Any area suitable for snowboarding that is not located in a resort area.
Back flip - This is a trick where a rider flips over backwards from a jump.
Backside Air - Refers to any air that is made off of a half pipe's backside wall.
Backside Rodeo - While coming out of a jump, the rider turns their back down the hill, then performing a 540 to land fakie or making a full 720 to land facing forward.
Backside Rotation - A clockwise rotation is a regular-footer and a goof-footer is a counter-clockwise rotation. Unless the rider is going switch stance in which case the clockwise rotation is a goofy-footer and a regular-footer is the counter-clockwise rotation.
