Mosquito Air - This involves the front hand reaching to behind the front leg, grabbing the board's heel edge just between the bindings. The front knee should be bent so that it is touching the tuck knee style of the board.
Mute - This involves the front hand grabbing the board's toe edge.
Nollie - This is similar to an Ollie, but instead, you bring off of the nose instead of the tail.
Nollie Front Flip - This involves springing off the nose while you are going off of a jump, leaning forward so that you can do a front flip.
Nose - This is the name for the front of the snowboard.
Nose Bonk - This involves hitting an object using the nose of the snowboard.
Nose Grab - This involves the front hand grabbing the board's nose.
Nose Poke - This describes any maneuver where you are boning the front leg, poking the nose of your snowboard in a direction that is away from your body. This occurs typically while grabbing.
Nose Slide - This involves sliding along the nose of your board on an obstacle edge such as a ledge, a handrail or a ramp lip.
Nuclear Air - This involves the rear hand reaching along the front of the body, grabbing the snowboard's heel edge just in front of the front foot.
Obstacles - These are jumps, handrails, hits and anything else that a snowboarder may use in order to throw a trick.
Ollie - This is a method that is used in order to obtain air by way of lifting the front foot and then the rear foot while springing up off of the tail of the board.
Open Mold - This is a form used for assembling and holding together the various parts of a snowboard while the pressing process is happening, allowing for the expansion and the bleeding during the bonding.
Palmer - This is a type of method where the snowboarder grabs the board near the nose, pulling the board across the boarder's front while the nose is pointing at a downward angle.
Phat - This word is used to mean cool, or to mean a lot.
Phillips 66 - This term describes an invert where the half pipe wall is approached riding fakie, the rear hand is planted on the wall's lip and then a front flip is done so that the boarder lands riding forward on the transition.
Ply - This is a short word for plywood, which is the most commonly used type of material for the construction of the deck. The most commonly used type of plywood is seven layer.
Poach - This either means to ski in a closed area of terrain or out of bounds terrain, or to drop on a line that has already been lined up by someone else.
