Hucker - This is someone that throws him or herself wildly into and through the air without landing on their feet.
Iguana Air - This is what you have when the rear hand is grabbing the toe edge of the board near to the tail of the board.
Indy Air - This is performed on the back side with the boarder's rear hand grabbing the toe edge between the bindings, and the rear leg should be being boned. The "Indy" term could also be used in order to describe the location for the grab rather than the action itself.
Interlock System - The tip and the tail sections of the board, which are typically made out of plastic, are locked mechanically to the core by way of a puzzle arrangement that is not unlike a jigsaw. The interlock system is designed to spread out the amount of stress between the junctions of the different materials.
Invert - This is another name that is used to refer to a hand plant.
Inverted 180 - This means to go upside down while you are performing a 180 move.
Inverted 540 - This means to go upside down while you are performing a 540 move.
Inverted 720 or 720 Mctwist - This is described as being an inverted aerial wherein the rider is performing a 720 rotational flip. They approach the wall while riding forward, then they become airborne, rotate the full 720 degrees in the backside direction, perform a front flip and then land while riding fakie style.
Inverted Aerial - This is a maneuver where the snowboarder becomes airborne, riding upside down during part of the trick.
Japan - This involves grabbing the toe edge with the front hand, tucking the front knee in and then pulling the board up while arching the back.
Jib - This involves riding similarly to street skating.
Kevlar - This is a fibrous material that is man made to have a high ratio of strength to weight. It is used in order to strengthen the snowboard without adding any additional weight as well as to enhance the flex action performance of the snowboard.
Kicker - This is a name that is used to describe a jump ramp. Kickers typically have properties to throw you up in the air vertically rather than actually giving you any distance.
Landing Fakie - This means to land backwards.
Late - This is a term that is used in order to describe the incorporation of something new into a trick just prior to landing at the completion of the trick.
Launch - This is the moment where a rider actually begins to execute their jump, as well as the time where he is actually up in the air.
Leash - This is a retention device which is used in order to attach the front foot and the snowboard so that the snowboard cannot get away.
