Snowboarding Glossary Continued

snbSky - This is a term that is used to describe when big air is achieved by a rider.

Slalom - This is a term that is used to describe a type of Alpine snowboarding racing where the racer has to run along a designated course where a series of gates are set in a combination along the slope, testing in the process not only technique but also agility and speed. Disqualification occurs when a racer fails to pass through all of the gates properly.

Slide - This is a term that is used to describe what riders do when they are sliding along an obstacle or an object such as a handrail, a mailbox or some other type of object.

Slob Air - This is a term that is used to describe the front side air when the front hand is grabbing mute and the back leg is being boned, and finally the board is being allowed to remain parallel along the ground.

Spine Ramp - This is a term that is used to describe when two half pipes are placed together back to back in order to create a double-U.

Spring Planting - This is another term describing a face plant.

Stale Egg - This is a term that is used to describe an egg plant that utilizes a stale fish grab.

Stalemasky Air - This is a term that is used to describe when a maneuver is being performed where the point of emphasis is held for a longer than normal period of time.

Stalled - This is a term that is used to describe when a specific maneuver is started late intentionally when going into a jump or a trick.

Stance - This is a term that is used to describe the position of the rider's feet when on the ground.

Stick - This is a term that is used to describe landing a jump completely cleanly.

Stiffy Air - This is a term that is used to describe a maneuver that involves boning both legs where a grab has been incorporated.

Stinky - This is a term that is used to describe riding when the legs are spread completely open.

Stoked - This is a term that is used to describe a rider when they are confident and feeling "pumped up".

Stomp - This is a term that is interchangeable with both "stick" and "charge".

Sublimated Top Sheet - This is a term that is used to describe a top sheet that has had its graphics added through the process of sublimation. This process provides a very durable graphic because the graphic is cooked directly into the plastic rather than printed on top.

Sweeper - This is a term that is used to describe a long and gentle curve.
