Crippler - A half pipe inverted air where the rider makes a 180 flip, coming up to the wall regular the rider makes a ninety degree turn before flipping over in mid-air and then making a second 90 degree turn before landing riding forward on the half pipe.
Crud - A term used to describe snow that does not provide a consistent surface.
Dialed-in - Term used to indicate that something is in an ideal state.
Disaster - When a rider gets “hung up” on a lip trick, generally the board will be perpendicular to the coping of the lip when this happens.
Double Grab - This refers to perfuming two different tricks in the air, one after the other. While in a jump, the rider will first make one grab on their board followed by a different grab.
Duck Foot - A way to refer to various stance angles that have the riders toes facing out.
Edges - Thin strips of metal, usually hard steel is used, that are used on snowboards and skis to line the running surface's outside edges.
Effective Edge - The measurement of the portion of the metal edges of a snowboard that come in contact with the ground, which excludes the parts of those edges that are on the tail and tip of a snowboard. It is the area that is used when making a turn.
Egg Flip - A version of an eggplant in which the rider swaps out the 180 turn with a flip to get back into the pipe. This trick is done either switch stance, or forward-to-fakie.
Eggplant - This is a trick in which the rider plants their front hand on the lip to do a 180 invert with a backside rotation.
Elgeurial - Named for Eddie Elguera, this is a half pipe invert. It starts with the rider fakies to the wall then plants their rear hand on the lip which leads to a backside 360 which leaves the rider facing forward when they reenter the half pipe.
Eurocarve - A style of riding that has the rider making hard cutting large turns. While making the turns the rider will often ride on the edge and holding their body almost parallel to the ground.
Face Plant - A fall that results in the face being the first part of the body to hit the ground.
Fakie - This term refers to riding with the tail of the board facing forward.
Fall Line - This is the name that refers to the easiest path down a slope.
Flat Bottom - In a half pipe this refers to the area that lies in between the two opposing walls.
Flatland - This refers to tricks that are done on a flat slope that does not have any obstacles.
