About the Resort:
This is an enormous resort with more than 3200 ski-able acres and it is easy to see why it became so popular so quickly. There are few resorts in this area that can lay claim to snow this good, service this spectacular, or skiing that is this much fun. We were pleasantly surprised by just how much fun we had here and this is definitely a great place to take the family.
What You Need to Know:
The season starts during the last week in November and runs through mid-April. They get plenty of snow here, but they do make about 20% of it, just to keep the trails going smoothly. We found everything to be very well groomed however and there was more than enough snow on the ground.
There are numerous lifts that move nearly 15,000 people an hour, so waiting in line is not common. With more than 113 trails at your disposal, no matter what kind of skier you are you should be able to find the right trail for you. We loved the deep powder glades, and you’ll also find some great bowls, as well as some exciting downhill action here.
Tips for Beginners:
They have put aside about 20% of the trails for beginners here and there are lessons all day long. This is a great place to learn the fundamentals of skiing and the trails are very safe. Kids can learn a lot about skiing here and they’ll be able to learn from some of the best in the sport right here.
When you take a class here, you get a free lift ticket, so it’s well worth the money. Adult and child classes are available, and we found the instructors to be patient and very well versed.
