About the Resort:

This is a full service resort that is open all year round, and offers some of the best amenities we've seen. If you are looking for a true vacation getaway and you also want to ski, we can't think of a better place to go. This is a great place to take the family, but no one would blame you if you wanted to keep the spa treatment all to yourself. It's a true toss up when it comes to picking between getting pampered at the resort, or enjoying the fine powder out on the runs.

What You Need to Know:

Although the resort is open all year round, the ski trails don't open until mid-November, and they stay open through April. There are plenty of other activities for those that may not want to ski for the entire time they are there, and there are also many places to snowboard, or just relax. There are numerous lifts that serve the 63 trails and waiting is a rare occasion.

There are currently two halfpipes on site and a total of five terrain parks for beginning skiers and snowboarders. Everything is very well maintained and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the facilities. The terrains parks should be visited at least once since they offer a great change up from the usual downhill trails.

Tips for Beginners:

Currently, about 13% of the trails here are made for beginners. That still gives you plenty of room to learn the ropes. The resort offers some incredible deals for lesson packages and gear rental as well. This is a good spot for kids to learn how to ski, and there are also some great adult lessons as well.

We found that the instructors really knew what they were talking about and you can pick up some great techniques while you're here. With a few lessons, you'll be ready to tackle the intermediate hils in no time at all.

Fees:

Lift Tickets

This resort offers an interesting program for parents, which the management describes as, "Parent Predicament lift ticket allows parents to share a lift ticket for the day for the same price as a full-day adult lift ticket. As one parent skis or snowboards, the other parent stays with the child until they're ready to trade duties."
