If you aren't really interested in driving, or if you are interested in relaxing and letting someone do the work for you, then that really isn't a problem. Denver International Airport is offering a shuttle service that goes to and from the airport and most of the resorts in the area, and there is also transportation throughout much of the rest of the city itself, and in Denver you are going to find a wide variety of night clubs, specialty shopping outlets, bars, museums and even the zoo.

Aspen offers a wide variety of different slopes that range from beginner difficulty to expert difficulty, meaning that you do not have to worry about whether or not you are going to find the right experience for your needs, whether they are gentle or thrilling. Aspen is much, much more than simply being a skiing resort, however, as it is also a popular destination for banquets, weddings and a host of other specialty occasions as well.
If you are looking for the closest ski resort to the city of Denver, then the Loveland Area is the way to go. It offers a wide variety of terrific slopes that are suitable for a wide variety of experience levels. There is also, once again, a direct shuttle that goes to and from the Denver airport, meaning that you can get around as needed.
Even if you are not exactly into skiing, there are still a wide variety of other things that you can partake of in the area including hiking, relaxing, snowboarding and many other activities as well.
