About the Resort -
Bristol Mountain offers the tallest vertical drop among all ski areas between the Adirondacks and the Rocky Mountains, and the longest run is more than two total miles long. Bristol offers night skiing until 10 o'clock pm. There are two different terrain parks, and the most difficult is almost half a mile long and offers a 450 foot pipe built in ground. Among those who have found and experienced the Bristol Mountain Resort, this mountain is viewed to be a hidden treasure because of the unique and enjoyable experience that it provides.
What You Need to Know -
The Bristol Mountain Resort offers a summit of 2,200 feet or 671 meters, with a 1,000 foot base, 1,200 foot vertical, and a total of 160 acres. Bristol Mountain gets 110" inches of snow on average, with 97 percent snowmaking capabilities. The season is set to begin at the end of November this year, and will go on until the beginning of April, 2009, weather permitting. Ski rentals run $26 dollars, as well as snowboarding rentals. The Bristol Mountain Resort offers a nice variety of types of terrain, including 33 percent green, 49 percent blue and 18 percent black, spread over 33 different trails. The longest run is 10,560 feet or 3,219 meters long, and the toughest trail is the Quantum Leap. There are several different lifts to choose from, a half pipe and two different terrain parks located at the premises.
Tips for Beginners -
The Bristol Mountain Resort offers certified instruction with more than 240 instructors on staff with experience and expertise in all disciplines. Instructors are professionals and certified by the Professional Instructors of America. Skiers and snowboarders are trained to follow a responsibility code. Rental gear is provided for new riders and skiers who do not have their own gear. Ski and snowboarding packages are $26 dollars for adults and seniors, and $18 dollars for juniors riders and skiers.
Fees -
The Bristol Mountain resort offers different process for full day and half day lift tickets, but does not charge different fees on weekends, week days or holidays. For adults, full day lift tickets cost $53 dollars, and they are reduced to $50 dollars for half day tickets. For senior and junior riders, full day lift tickets are $43 dollars, and they are reduced to $40 dollars for half days. Full days are 8 hour tickets, and half days are 4 hour tickets. There are also passes for three consecutive days, which are $125 dollars for adult riders and $115 for junior and senior riders. Adult and senior ski packages for rental gear are $26 dollars, and junior ski packages are $18 dollars. Adult and senior snowboard packages for rental gear are $26 dollars as well, and junior snowboard packages are also $18 dollars.
