About the Resort:

This is the Tahoe area's only full terrain park and the entire mountain is dedicated to this feature. If you love snowboarding, this is the perfect place to go, thanks to the Olympic quality facilities, and the fun atmosphere. There are also plenty of places to ski, and the rates are very reasonable. We had a lot of fun at this resort, and consider it to be a great place to spend a weekend with friends.

What You Need to Know:

The season here runs from about the middle of November, through the middle of April, but there may be a few days delay either way, depending on conditions. Although the area gets on average around 400 inches of snow, the resort does make their own snow to ensure that the park is always in perfect condition. We found that everything was very well maintained and the staff is dedicated to making sure that you have an enjoyable time.

There are some great lodging packages available and the food here is definitely top notch. Overall, we rate this resort as one of the best in the Tahoe area, especially if you like terrain parks. This is a great place for a challenging run that will leave you feeling energized and ready to go all over again.

Tips for Beginners:

The resort offers special packages for beginners and we highly recommend taking advantage of these prices. Lessons are offered for both snowboarding and downhill skiing three different times a day, and during the peak season, there are lessons every hour.

This is a great resort for those that are completely new to skiing and snowboarding and the instructors are very patient, and they do know their stuff. Most of their beginner packages include not only lift tickets, but the cost of instruction and even equipment rental. The snowboard lessons are thrilling and will really get you interested in this sport, even if you are a rank beginner.
