The Black Mountain of Maine Ski Resort offers a 1150 foot vertical drop, and is lit top to bottom in order to accommodate skiing throughout the day and night. The Black Mountain of Maine Ski Resort has a terrain park that features a wide variety of hits, including green trails in the novice and beginner areas, where learning to ski and snowboard is easy and enjoyable. There are twenty different trails, including a glade, and the Black Mountain of Maine Ski Resort offers more than 90 percent snowmaking coverage, and two chair lifts for easy access to the entire mountain. The Black Mountain of Maine Ski Resort has been around for 30 years, offering one of the best Nordic skiing experiences out there, with a peak elevation of 4,250 feet and plenty of skiiable terrain. What You Need to Know -
Snowboarders must have leashes. The Black Mountain of Maine Ski Resort offers ski challenge races on Sundays for $4.00 plus the cost of a single day lift ticket. The Black Mountain of Maine Ski Resort has recently experienced some improvements including the purchase of a groomer to work along with the old groomer for better terrain. The mountain has a peak summit of 4,250 feet, and the season is slated to begin on December 26, 2008, the day after Christmas. This 2008 and 2009 ski season is slated to last until March 29, 2009 assuming that weather permits. In addition to 20 different ski trails, there is also a terrain park and a half pipe that are well worth experiencing when visiting the Black Mountain of Maine Ski Resort. The Black Mountain of Maine Ski Resort is well known for its night skiing, as all trails are lighted from top to bottom, providing a well lit skiing experience under the night sky.

The Black Mountain of Maine Ski Resort does offer instruction on the mountain for people who are new to skiing and snowboarding, and you can also find assistance on the mountain for renting equipment as well if you do not already have the equipment that you need.
Fees -
The standard lift ticket is $30 regardless of age or day, but the Black Mountain of Maine Ski Resort also offers season passes which can offer significant discounts if you plan on visiting regularly. The adult season pass runs for $199 dollars for ages 18 to 61. The senior season pass for ages 62 to 74 is also $199 dollars. The junior pass, intended for skiers aged 6 to 17 is $190 dollars. Children under the age of 6 can ski for free.
